At Rawan School, we believe that learning a language is just the first step. The true milestone is finding the confidence to use it. This spring, we proudly celebrated the graduation of 30 remarkable students from our intensive Special Speaking Program. Over the course of eight weeks, these young women transitioned from hesitant English learners to confident, articulate debaters capable of discussing complex global issues.

Moving Beyond the Basics

Basic communication is vital, but professional success requires critical thinking and advanced discourse. Conducted through a mix of online and in-person sessions, this specialized course challenged our students to tackle nuanced topics. They explored community concerns, psychological processes, and global feminism.

The Journey of Transformation

By the end of the program, the results were measurable and inspiring:

  • Expanded Vocabularies: Students successfully integrated approximately 2,000 new words. They mastered half of their 4,000-word essential vocabulary curriculum and began using these words in their daily conversations.

  • Grammar in Context: Participants demonstrated significant improvements in using complex grammatical structures. They effectively utilized the Present Perfect and Past Continuous tenses during live, unscripted debates.

  • Refined Soft Skills: Through weekly presentation sessions, students learned not only how to speak to an audience but also how to provide constructive, empathetic feedback to their peers.

Preparing for the Professional World

Because of their dedication, daily participation, and high final test scores, all 30 graduates have been recommended for advancement to our professional applications tier. They aren't just learning English anymore; they are learning how to lead, advocate, and innovate in the professional world.

Celebrating Achievements

We are incredibly proud to share these graduation moments with you. Every certificate handed out is a direct result of a global community that refuses to give up on Afghan youth. Each graduate embodies resilience and determination, showcasing the potential of young women when given the right tools and support.

The Need for Support

Operating these high-level courses requires resources, technology, and dedicated educators. If you believe in the power of a woman’s voice, please consider supporting our next cohort. Your contribution can help empower young women to overcome barriers and achieve their personal and professional dreams.
