When we ask our students about their experiences with RAWAN and the ALP program, they often tell us that they have gained a new faith in themselves, that they have discovered they can do things that they didn’t think they could. Many refer to the depressing years between their exclusion from post-elementary education and their discovery of RAWAN. Suddenly, they have found a way forward. For without decent English and sufficient internet skills they could never hope to take advantage of the wealth of online educational resources that now exist. “CONFIDENCE” and “COMPETENCE” are the name of the game. We do all we can to help them achieve both.
